Tony would be horrible at improv. Someone tell him to stop answering negatively. “well you’ll have to ask Phil” “you’ll have to espn execs.” Well no shit, but it’s a discussion show and he wants your opinion.

Thanks Gary – was fun to watch. Aaron was very good.

Audio is much better then last ep. great diversity of guest.

great show and guests. definitely the best ep so far.

I like the guests but some of the questions are just awful and the show seems desperate for material. You preface the introduction on Phil Laak by saying “your not suggesting there’s a correlation between bodily harm and winning but….” and then you go on to ask the guests and talk about if there is a correlation between bodily harm and winning. Just by calling it another name doesnt change the topic..I like the guests but this is just as awful show with awful questions and topics.

really good guests, questions were pretty repetetive, one tournament win never means anything (unless you’re moneymaker). asking these guys about validity, prestige, respect, etc is a waste of time imo

I really like Gary Wise in general but these people like Bond18 and Hac Dang are just not going to be good at discussing issues that the poker media generally finds important. It seems like this show is trying to be the poker beat but with players instead of journalists, but the problem is that the players you’ve chosen don’t generally follow the poker media and don’t really care about most of the issues you’re trying to talk about.

At first, I didn’t like Tony (that’s what I get for reading the comments before watching), but by the end of it, I thought he came off really well. Hac was hilarious, being awake only 20 minutes before the show started. I think that’s a plus for the show, not a negative. Aaron could have his own show.

It’s nice to hear people give straightforward answers to questions about the poker industry. Their take on tournament prestige and sponsorships was \thread quality. I get sick of flowery discussions of WSOP bracelets, etc – blah blah blah.

The problem was that all three of them just answered GW’s questions completely and quickly, and reached a consensus on pretty much every topic after some brief conversation, and then Gary had to kind of keep the topic going by repeating the initial question in different ways. I think this group of folks would be better in a more rapid fire format, and could have covered twice the ground they did.

The questions could also have been more catered to the specific guests, instead of just being a rehashing of what every other poker show is discussing, but not because they didn’t have great takes on them. There just could have been more, I think. All of these guys were funny and smart, but it felt a little wasted at times.

+1 on fav ep so far.

    Look at me, I’m a h8r.

Guys, thanks for all the feedback. There are a lot of valid points being made here and I’m going to try to make some formatting adjustments based on some of them. Thanks also for watching!
